Google.com isn't working for me?

I'm an big Google user and at the moment I have no access to ANY of the Google websites (GMail, Google, Google Earth, Google.co.uk and so on).

I've called friends and apparently it's just me, possibly just this particular computer (Running vista by the way).

Just curious if there's anything I can do to fix it.

I'm currently connecting wirelessly to a router, I've connected to other local wireless networks and still nothing. As you can tell I have normal access to any other website except this particular one.

I've tried other browsers... nothing

I even attempted to ping it and also nothing.

The Google Apps also do not work

Any ideas?

**Note: I don't care if you think Yahoo is better those are your opinions so let's leave them at that.

Google.com isn't working for me?
there is actually a malware/virus associated with this problem. i quote the following:

"You had some sort of malware that updated your HOSTS file. Note that all the entries are for computer security sites and search engines.

You can fix this, but I'd also post a HijackThis log in your HJT forum, because we're not fixing the root cause by doing this.

Open HOSTS again with NOTEPAD, and delete EVERYTHING after the line.

127.0.0.1 localhost

You should be left with the following HOSTS contents, save it and see if it works better.

Reply:It could be a bad cookie. Try deleting all your cookies and temp internet files. Then try again.
Reply:its done that to me wait an hour or two and it should be back up
Reply:There is no reason that ONLY google wouldn't work. The only thing I can think of is you have something blocked on your computer that is causing your internet not to reach googles computers.

Good Luck
